Bicycles come in many styles and sizes but what every bicycle has in common is that they have two wheels. The Thule T2 supports a bicycle securely by its wheels without contacting the bicycle's frame. Each bicycle sits on its own tray and the bikes are all at the same level from the ground, regardless of the bicycle's size. Load a bike in less than 10 seconds: set the bike in it's tray, ratchet down the hook to the front wheel and then strap down the rear wheel. Access the rear of most vehicles by simply pulling the spring loaded release lever to tilt the rack down which leans the bikes out of the way of a hatch. The rack also folds up out of the way in between uses. In general, you can expect to have no clearance issue when the end of the vehicle's hitch is flush with the vehicle's bumper, excluding vehicles with rear, vertically mounted spare tires.
